The Adventure Continues
by Kristen
Isaac has been our most mischievous child. At times even collaborating with his older sister, Savana. Like the time they dumped finger nail polish on the carpet (Angie F should remember that). Then there was the time Isaac hit Savana on the head with a real hammer. We can testify head wounds produce a lot of blood- we took her to the Dr's office but it took them a long time to even find the wound. Most recently Savana and Isaac and Wayne took the packing peanuts from a package we got and crumbled them up and spread them all over the living room. Then, just this past Sunday night Wayne, Savana & Isaac were playing downstairs when Isaac got the wonderful idea of playing in the ashes from our fireplace downstairs. We put the ashes in a bucket until we can empty it outside. Isaac took the bucket and dumped some on the floor but mostly dumped them on his brother, Wayne. The rest of the night was spent cleaning up the kids and the basement floor.

*confused*

Posted by: wendy sue at February 13, 2007 04:09 PMWe've got a pic sitting around somewhere of me as a four year old covered in flour from head to toe. Mom was letting me help with making cookies, and I turned the mixer on full blast after she put in something like 5 cups of flour.
Then Mom taught me about wash cloths and cleaning up the kitchen. :(
Posted by: nate at February 13, 2007 04:22 PMOne time my older sister and I were playing together while mom was in the kitchen. We found a tub of some sticky substance (vasaline or the like) and a bottle of baby powder. We decided to pain the bathroom, and eachother's heads, with the vasaline, and then opened the baby powder, everywhere...
Good times.
Posted by: Matt Heerema at February 13, 2007 04:56 PMSo when Jon Anderson and I were little, we were playing at my house, when all of a sudden we got really quiet. We had found a HUGE jar of vaseline, and smeared it on everything--the wall, the carpet, the door, our clothes, our hair.
At least we didn't use baby powder :-)
Doesn't surprise me a bit. :)
Posted by: Darcy at February 13, 2007 09:16 PMThat is a wonderful story Kristen! I just want to know how you even start to wash up after a mess like that?
Posted by: Dana at February 14, 2007 08:55 AMDana, two words: water hose.
(I'm going to make a great father...;) )
Posted by: Rob at February 14, 2007 11:04 AMwe children can be quite mischievous on our own, without the aid of siblings, too. I remember circa age four or five, proudly showing my mom how I had inscribed the entire alphabet in thick, black permanent marker on a white wall in the hallway.
