Celebrity Status?

Posted by Tim :: Ministry News

Ever since I appeared on the front cover of GCM's Annual Ministry Report, it's been hard to get a moment of privacy. The phone calls and e-mails have been relentless.
Here's some examples:
"You are GCM's new poster boy!" P.J.
"Sweeeeet!" M.H.
"I can't believe it!" K.H.
Everywhere I go people are talking about it. While visiting family, it was the main topic of conversation. My brother even lifted a copy from my mom to take home as his own. It created quite a domestic conflict.

All this has caused me to wonder if celebrity status is worth it. You lose your privacy, your admirers lose their sanity, you have trouble fitting your head through the door. It gets tough.

I suppose it's all a test. If I can handle the pressure of this kind of exposure, maybe, just maybe, I will appear in a future issue of AARP.

Here is what a long-time friend of mine had to say about the cover.

"Can I get you and Tim to autograph our copy of the gcm annual ministry report? Tim's picture is right on the front! Wow, how does it feel being married to a cover guy? =)"

So, Tim is my cover guy!
