Top 10

Posted by Tim :: Tim's thoughts

I just got back to Ames today since my summer long adventure in Chicago... and I'm feeling goooood! Why? Well, let me give you the top 10 reasons why I'm glad to be back in Iowa.
10. I can fill up my gas tank for less than $40.
9. Two words: No tolls.
8. Four minutes in Ames does what 40 minutes does in Chicago.
7. Three words: No traffic jams.
6. I'm not just 1 in 10 million.
5. I can actually take more than 4 steps without running into something.
4. No bad jokes, puns or Hawiian shirts.
3. Ahhh, the sound of silence.
2. Everything is so... green.
1. There's no place like home.

Welcome back Borseth's. You were all sorely missed.

Oh Tim. I think we're gonna have to start the hawaiian shirt craze here in Ames. Us Iowans are so behind in the fashion world!

Top Ten reasons that Tim would rather be in Chicago
10.) Tom still has some of his Creation magazines.
9.) He got to use that cool gym and pool in his subdivision.
8.) In Ames, you don't get to drive 85 mph and not feel guilty about it.
7.) Where else can you spend so much money in so little time.
6.) You can always find a policeman (Krispy Kreme).
5.) There are so many friends to make.
4.) Bad jokes, puns, and Hawiian shirts.
3.) Chicago traffic really builds patience.
2.) The Cubs. (It makes it easier to live with Kristen).
1.) Two words: Italian Ice.

I was wondering which of you guys I would hear first. I actually do miss the Italian Ice. Maybe we could open a store in Ames?
Keep the magazines as a gift from me, bro.
And, Lord willing, I'll see you next year.

It will probably be sooner than that. First of all, I am determined that Chicago will be represented at the rock retreat this year, plus Jessica Anderson's wedding should be a nice the way Tom, Lisa said "Hi".
